This document primarily lists resources developed by CCSSO and the lead writers of the standards and is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all resources available.
Accelerating the College and Career Readiness of the Nation’s Students
Profiles of the 50 states and the District of Columbia capture the progress made in adopting the Common Core State Standards, work in ensuring those standards are accompanied by college- and career-ready assessments, and the benefits of preparing all students for success in college and a career.
The National Parent Teacher Association created grade-by-grade guides so parents can have a clear understanding of the skills their child should be mastering at each grade level under the Common Core State Standards. The guides include information on the key items that children should be learning in English language arts and mathematics in each grade, activities that parents can do at home to support their child's learning, methods for helping parents build stronger relationships with their child's teachers, and tips for planning for college and career.
Council of the Great City Schools Common Core Works
The Common Core Works website provides information that can help both parents and educators as they work to understand the Common Core. A three-minute animated video provides an overview of the standards in an engaging way.
Parent roadmaps available in English language arts/literacyand mathematics provide guidance to parents about what their children will be learning and how they can support that learning in grades K-8. These parent roadmaps for each grade level also provide three-year snapshots showing how selected standards progress from year to year.
Conservatives for Higher Standards
This website, launched July 17th, includes video, myth-busting documents, fact sheets, featured news, and tools for parents. The site demonstrates the urgent need for the Common Core State Standards and highlights support from conservatives. Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium
Smarter Balanced is a state-led consortium developing assessments aligned to the Common Core State Standards in English language arts/literacy and mathematics that are designed to help prepare all students to graduate high school college- and career-ready.
Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers
The Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) is a consortium of 23 states plus the U.S. Virgin Islands working together to develop a common set of K-12 assessments in English language arts and math aligned to the Common Core State Standards.

Implementing Common Core State Standards and Assessments
Created by Achieve and the U.S. Education Delivery Institute, the Implementing Common Core State Standards and Assessments workbook offers state and district leaders the means to plan for the CCSS and then drive implementation using a proven performance management methodology known as “delivery” to lay out clear action steps for states and districts.
This study on the Common Core State Standards by the Education Policy Improvement Center (EPIC) is based on a national sample of college instructors and examines the applicability of all Common Core State Standards in comparison to their respective college courses.

The National Association of State Boards of Education dedicated its September 2012 issue of The State Education Standard to the Common Core State Standards. Articles include information on state implementation efforts, Common Core State Standards opportunities for students with disabilities, the importance of professional learning for educators implementing the standards, and more.
