Huntsville Council PTA individually, and in collaboration with Alabama PTA and National PTA, offers a wide variety of programs to help support student success and assist our PTA leaders.  

 

Grants

Grants

HCS PTAs/PTSAs: Apply for a grant, up to $1000, to support a school-wide program based on one or more PTA National Standards for Family-School Partnerships.

Scholarships

Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded to Huntsville City School seniors (2 per High School) who plan to pursue higher education at any accredited institute of higher learning, including vocation and trade schools, as well as two-year and four-year universities.

Explore the Arts and Express Yourself National PTA has a long-standing commitment to arts education. The Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life.

Outstanding Partnership Awards

Outstanding Partnership Awards

Each year, Huntsville Council PTA gives awards to PTAs that have provided outstanding results in each of the Six National Standards. These awards will recognize local PTAs whose programs and activities are based on one or more of the National PTA Standards for Family-School Partnerships.

Outstanding Educator Awards

Strong PTAs must have the cooperation and support of parents, teachers, principals, and superintendents who support PTA activities. HCPTA recognizes educators who put forth special effort to work with PTA through its Outstanding Educator Awards.

Concessions

Concessions

Earn money for your PTA or HCS school organization by providing volunteers for the Milton Frank Stadium concession stand. Profits are split between your organization and HCPTA. The HCPTA portion supports grants, scholarships, events and equipment replacement at Milton Frank.

Attend PTA leadership training held each summer in Huntsville.

National PTA School of Excellence recognition program opens the lines of communication and critical thinking within school communities to make data-driven decisions that yield positive, long-term results. School of Excellence is committed to supporting and recognizing partnerships between local PTAs and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being for all students.

National PTA is committed to improving the overall health and well-being of families across the country because we know living a healthy lifestyle is a key component to our students' ability to thrive. The Healthy Lifestyles initiative offers educational resources and engagement opportunities that empower students and families to make better-informed health decisions.

National PTA’s STEM Initiative

National PTA's STEM + Families® program delivers access and hands-on exposure to science, technology, engineering and math to engage families and inspire students to pursue career opportunities in STEM fields. PTA’s vision is that all students have the family and community support needed to access and pursue STEM opportunities and careers. We want to foster passion for science, technology, engineering, and math through fun activities and by involving families in these experiences together.
