Stay Connected| The National PTA Convention & Expo is going virtual! Registration is set to open for mid-June. The virtual event will hold various dates with key information and leadership development opportunities.
The convention will begin on July 20-21 with a message from our national president, Leslie Boggs and this year's keynote speaker, astronaut Jose Hernandez. Additionally the annual Reflections celebration will take place during the first session.
The convention will continue with a week-long virtual education and leadership development " Summer School' series from July 27-31. Finally, during August 6-7, elections and official business meetings will take place.

Former astronaut and businessman José Hernández is the son of Mexican immigrants who worked as migrant farmworkers. Hernández flew into space as the flight engineer aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery in 2009 and became the first person to tweet in Spanish from space.
Today, Hernández is the president and CEO of two consulting firms, Pt Strategies, LLC and Tierra Luna Engineering, LLC. He also founded the José M. Hernández Reaching for the Stars Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides scholarships and educates students about careers in STEM. He and his wife have five children.
